| Overview: In 2009, DeckerWright Corporation completed a project for a healthcare provider in New Jersey to review and implement software packages for an Electronic Healthcare Records systems. Solution: The review included seven software packages, each with some unique features. The decision support tools used by DeckerWright Corporation aided in identifying key requirements and provided a framework for comparing the seven software packages reviewed. The initial list was reduced, and site visits were scheduled for the finalists. After the best solution was identified based on the requirements, implementation planning began. During this time, infrastructure, data migration and training issues were addressed. Results: The project was completed with the EHR system successfully being deployed in the practice. |
