Marshall H. Wright President, DeckerWright Corporation Marshall Wright is owner and President of DeckerWright Corporation, an Information Technology Consulting company in Red Bank, New Jersey.

The company serves businesses in central New Jersey, but has provided consulting services across the country. DeckerWright Corporation provides data networking design, implementation and support for small to medium sized businesses.

As President of the company, Mr. Wright is primary responsible for the strategic direction of the company. Sought after by customers for guidance, Mr. Wright draws on his education, training and the experience of having worked with over 500 business entities in the past 25 years to solve their business problems.

Experience
Prior to joining DeckerWright Corporation, Mr. Wright held managerial positions in the financial organizations of several companies. Beginning in the Controllers organization at the Consolidated Rail Corporation as a Transportation Analyst, Mr. Wright learned how to crunch numbers the old fashioned way, with a calculator and mountains of paper tape. His arrival into the organization coincided with the availability of computing resources at the regional level. Mr Wright led the effort that turned manual practices into software allowing for faster and more accurate results and budget analysis. Leaving Conrail to complete his MBA, Mr. Wright joined Wang Laboratories as the District Controller for the Manhattan District. In the largest sales district at the time, Mr. Wright implemented new budgeting and financial reviews that highlighted looming financial problems at Wang. Soon after joining Wang Laboratories, Bell Laboratories came calling. Joining Bell Laboratories as a Business Analyst, Mr. Wright received multiple promotions, including Supervisor of Pension Benefits, Manager of Financial Systems Design and Member of the Technical staff. His greatest contribution was the development of a AT&T wide systems consolidation plan reducing the number of financial systems from 280 for a savings of over $500 million.

Mr. Wright could be considered a serial Entrepreneur. While employed at Bell Laboratories, Mr. Wright started a company to product novelty products and a second company that produced and sold software. Realizing success required a full time commitment, Mr. Wright left Bell Laboratories to lead DeckerWright Corporation. Other companies Mr. Wright helped establish and operate include Express Concepts, a computerized deli ordering system, TriNet Teledata, an online services provider and Atlantic Internet Technologies, an Internet Service Provider. Mr. Wright and his company were highlighted in a national PBS program, "Small Business 2000". Recognized for his "high" tech expertise, Mr. Wright has been retained by investment banking firms to perform due diligence.

Mr. Wright is a graduate of Rutgers College, New Brunswick, New Jersey with a double degree in Political Science and Urban Planning. Mr. Wright studied under Professor James Hughes, an often quoted New Jersey economist. Rutgers was also the conveyor of Mr. Wright's Master of Business Administration in Finance. Realizing the value of an advanced degree, Mr. Wright gave back to the school in a number of ways. He served as the President of the Rutgers Business School Alumni Association and a member of the Dean's Advisor Board. Recognized for his expertise in financial systems design, he was recruited by the school as an Adjunct Professor to teach the Design and Development of Accounting Information Systems, a graduate level elective course. Professor Wright also served as a judge for the annual business plan competition in the school. Recognized for his contributions, Mr. Wright was appointed to the University Alumni Federation where his responsibilities included chairing the Leadership and Recognition Committee. During his tenure as Chairman, the committee selected and celebrated alumni achievements through the Hall of Distinguished alumni awards and annual gala.

Realizing the value of a good education, Professor Wright has been instrumental in the establishment of numerous undergraduate and graduate scholarships at Rutgers and in Monmouth County. A former President of the Foundation for Shrewsbury Education and Trustee to the New Jersey Governor's School, Professor Wright has been an active advocate for excellence in education at all levels.

Mr. Wright is active in multiple regional business organizations. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Eastern Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce. He has served as Vice President and Secretary to the Monmouth Ocean Development Council and currently serves on the Executive Committee as an at large member. Mr. Wright also serves on the Brookdale Community College Business advisory council.

A former youth baseball coach, Coach Wright led a team of 12 year olds to compete against national competition in Cooperstown, New York. Other interests include boating, golfing, skiing and Rutgers Football.
